A: As we all know that lovely shinning hair is not only beauty but dream of a woman. It is precious & deserves good care. First, of all we all should know what type of hair we have, there are normal, greasy, dry & greasy scalp + dry hair.
NORMAL HAIR
It is shiny yet not greasy, & fairly easy to manage. Although, it may fly about a little the day after a set, but it soon settles down & stays looking good for about a week before it becomes slightly sticky to the touch & dirty-looking.
REMEDIES:
- Wash once/twice a week with a mild shampoo. Do not use shampoos which contain harsh detergents to produce the frothy lather, as these can often strip the natural sebum from the hair & spoil its condition. Select a herbal shampoo, if possible.
- I recommend Cat walk’s Oatmeal Honey Shampoo, Moisture maniac Sh of Bed Head.
- Apply egg yolk, mixing 2 egg yolks with a cup of luke warm water & beat together. Massage into the scalp, then cover the head with plastic cap & leave it for ten mins. After that, rinse your hair thoroughly with Luke warm water, & then shampoo it.
DRY HAIR:
This type of hair is difficult to control after shampooing, & it looks dull & has ends that are dry & split. Even just before shampooing, the ends look dry. The scalp sometimes feels itchy.
REMEDIES:
1. Wash once a week with a cream shampoo, & apply a conditioner afterwards. Remember to rinse the conditioner off very thoroughly to avoid stickiness.
2. Warm a cupful of olive oil massage into the hair lightly. Cover the hair with a warmed towel, wrapped like a turban & leave the olive oil conditioner on for ½ an hr, then rinse with shampoo in the normal way.
3. Stimulate the flow of sebum & blood to the hair follicles with a do-it-yourself scalp massage. Massage firmly but gently, moving the scalp not fingers.
4. Try to take high protein diet & it includes the vegetable oils.
GREASY HAIR:
It looks good for a day or two after shampooing, but then quickly becomes limp. Groups of hair cling together in unattractive strands & scalp feels dirty.
REMEDIES:
1. Wash it often, like 3 times a week preferably, just before it starts looking lovely & feeling sticky. As Greasy Hair can cause spots that appear on face & back.
2. Choose a lemon based shampoo. Rinse very thoroughly, & add little vinegar to the final rinsing water to leave the hair squeaking clean.
3. Pay good attention to diet. Avoid fatty & fried foods & sweets. Increase in-take of protein rich foods.
4. Drink plenty of water.
5. Try to relax more & do outdoor exercise.
GREASY DRY HAIR:
In case of fairly long hair, the hair nearest the scalp is greasy while the ends are dry. Just after the shampooing, the hair looks good, except the ends. This type of hair seems difficult to set smoothly & looks split & lighter in color than the roots.
REMEDIES:
1. Wash as soon as the scalp feels itchy, but use a very mild shampoo & never rub shampoo into the dry ends.
2. Use conditioner on lengths & ends only, never apply conditioner on the scalp.
3. Have the dry ends trimmed regularly.
4. Keep your scalp clean between shampoos, the best tip is –dab a piece of cologne soaked cotton wool into the scalp by making partings all over head.
